Alumni stories

It was a real pleasure to welcome Max Benster (Old Mole from 2015) back to Moulsford to speak to 8W in order to help them prepare for their upcoming exams. Max is in the third year of studying Theology at Oxford University and enjoyed engaging with the boys about whether a war could ever be called 'just' and also whether one could say God existed. This was a really valuable experience for the boys. Max left the boys with three bits of advice:

(1) Be intellectually humble

(2) Be selective about what is worth saying in a discussion

(3) Read lots

He also talked about a book he bought when he was at Moulsford called the Philosophy Files. He said it was the author visiting at Moulsford which began his journey into Philosophy and Theology.
