Inspiring the next Old Moles

Alumni stories

It has been fantastic to welcome back more Old Moles this term, who have spoken to current pupils about their experiences after leaving Moulsford.

As part of their Leavers’ Programme, our current Year 8 boys heard from 2024 leavers John Scudamore and Toby Oseman from Bradfield, Oliver Ward and Henry Rothwell, who are at Radley and Alex and Harry Kind, who are at Abingdon. They were joined by 2020 leaver Oscar Thomas, who has just finished at Wellington College. They shared their experiences and offered advice to our future Old Moles.

We were delighted to welcome James Bush (2020 leaver), who came to speak to some of the pupils who receive Learning Support, as part of their end-of-year treat. James has just completed his A-Levels at Eton College. During Activities Week, we also had 2022 Old Mole Bertie Wood undertaking work experience with pupils in Years 3 to 5, following completion of his GCSEs at Eton.

This term also saw the return of Fred Thorp (2019 leaver) as a Junior Teaching Assistant. Fred first worked at Moulsford in the Autumn Term before going travelling, but we were very grateful when he agreed to come back for the Summer Term. He has been an enormous help in Year 3 and on the sports field and we wish him luck as he heads off to university in the Autumn.

We always welcome applications from Old Moles for the Junior Teaching Assistant positions, so please do get in touch if you are interested.
