We are very excited to announce that the Moulsford Pre-Prep (Pre-School to Year 2) will become co-educational from September 2023, giving girls of pre-prep age the opportunity to benefit from a Moulsford experience. There is no planned change to the Prep School (Years 3 - 8) which will continue to deliver an outstanding all-boys education.

This decision reflects the strong demand from local families for a Moulsford Pre-Prep education for both boys and girls. The opening of Moulsford’s new state-of-the-art Pre-Prep building in September has been a major success, and children, parents and staff are delighted with the new facilities. Designed with co-education at the forefront of our minds, there are no structural changes required to welcome girls beyond the Pre-School. The Pre-Prep is in a position to make the transition to co-education swiftly and with relative ease.  

The most important aspect of a Moulsford education is the pastoral care, and the nurture we provide for all children, with kindness, compassion and community at the centre of all that we do. The very early stages of a child’s education are so formative and help shape their values and outlook on the world. We believe that both girls and boys will learn so much from each other in these early years, in addition to receiving an education designed to give them a really exciting window into the modern world.

Our Pre-Prep culture, values, academic curriculum and extensive activities programme have been designed to give the children a diverse, broad and well-rounded education that is directly relevant to modern life.

Moulsford has been receiving many enquiries as to whether we will be taking girls into the Pre-Prep and we are extremely pleased that we can now broaden the Moulsford community by doing so from September 2023. We now look forward to continuing to deliver an outstanding all-boys Prep and also a first-class co-educational Pre-Prep. We are delighted that Pre-Prep girls and their parents will join our very strong community and benefit from the ethos and atmosphere that are so intrinsic to the Moulsford experience.
