Pupil Pilots Take Flight!
14 Mar 2025
School News

In the Spring term, through our after-school Activities Programme, we have inducted our first group of students into the British Young Pilots' Flight School at Moulsford. Twenty-four budding aviators from Years 6 to 8 have been busy learning about the principles of flight, meteorology and navigation during their ground schooling, and then put their skills into practice on flight simulators to finish each session.

We recently welcomed a miraculous break in the weather and our first group of student pilots took to the sky with their flying instructors, in perfect conditions at Membury Airfield. There were a few natural nerves among the group, but every single student came back down beaming from ear to ear after their amazing first flights. Congratulations to our intrepid Moulsford Aviators!
