James Hart returns to Moulsford

Area in the school you are mainly working in:
Years 3, 4, 5 and out on the games field

Where were you previously at school?
Abingdon School

What did you do over the Summer?
I spent lots of time with mates and also went travelling around the Balkans.

Do you have any connection to Moulsford? What has brought you here?
I am an Old Mole (left in 2020) and had a great time while I was here, so it made sense to come back and work at a place that I already knew well.

What is your main reason for spending time as a JTA during your gap year?
I really enjoyed getting to know the JTA’s when I was at Moulsford, so I thought that it would be cool to pay it forward and make sure the current boys had as good an experience as I did. I am also in a band called Cheap Suits where we have been gigging for about a year and a half, so taking a gap year allows us all to keep writing songs and playing live before university moves us further from each other.

What are you most looking forward to during your time at Moulsford?
Coaching sports teams, especially in Rugby and Hockey.

What are your plans after Moulsford?
Go to university to study Maths with Computer Science.

What has changed since you were a pupil here?
The new Pre-Prep across the road and co-education in Year 3.

Which teachers most inspired you during your time here?
Mr Martin and Mr English. Mr Martin for his sports coaching and English teaching, and Mr English for his fun Science teaching methods and of course red blocks.

Do you have any lasting Moulsford memories that you would like to share with us?
Pot noodle tuck night on a Thursday in the boarding house was always great fun!
